Comments: Hi John and the boys, You may remember me as "sprouters" (one day I had nothing and then all of a sudden I sprouted) from your Green Valley song. I remember learning to play kelly pool at John's on many occasions. Great to see this site. You guys were the best and many fond memories of a grest band...

Comments: The Hearts were in my humble opinion Australia's greatest Powerpop band. Here was a band that were from Green Valley Introducing bands like The Ramones and The Small Faces to the violence that was the suburban beer barns . These guys were the pioneers and should be recognized by the Australian music industry. Watching these guys regularly supporting the hitmen at the stagedoor singing green valley to the green acres theme song was an honour and these guys inspired me to form my own band Box Of Fish.

Comments: I was listening to the Masters Apprentices on the sad news of the passing of Jim Keays and remembered I was introduced to that band through The lonely Hearts in the 80's. Then decided to look you up and found this great site. I didnt know about the reunion in the early 90's as was probably deep in kids nappies at the time. Great memories and wanted to ask John: Do you have a dog? and say that Anthony's beer can on the microphone stand was cool to me at the time. Have just started playing vinyl again so will go and dig out the singles, although would appreciate it if you upload your music on Spotify? Many thanks, Sean

Comments: I loved going to your gigs. I especially loved kicking the guy who thought he was a punk, dressed in kilt, leather jacket with swaztika on back and docs with Mohawk in the arse. He was a pretend punk and it always gave me much pleasure. Hi John, back in the day I used to try getting you guys to drink with me, but you were young and really were good boys. You were doing uni then and bill posting of a night down Canterbury Road. Love the fact that you became a surgeon, who'd have thought! XX
